This is the home of The Maria Series, a timeless tale of love, friendships, and family relationships during the coming of age story of a young woman named Maria set in the late 1940s. In the first book of the series, Maria's Awakening, Maria experiences challenging classes, making new friends, and her first love during her first semester at Iowa State University. Although not a memoir, the novels are rich with true-to-life characters and vivid scenes from the author's own life.
